Flying into DSM?  Please ensure that you’re in Des Moines with enough time to make it to the Des Moines Airport Hotel pick up by 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 19. We highly recommend staying at either of the following hotels the night of Friday, July 18 as they are both directly adjacent to the bus pick-up location:

Getting to Orange City via Legacy Adventure Charter’s buses   

We offer two bus boarding options to get to Orange City. The buses will depart from the locations below the morning of July 19th. Please be sure to be on time! 

Option 1: 8:00 AM departure from Legacy Adventure Charters HQ | 603 Penrose Street, Grinnell, IA 50112 

Option 2: 9:00 AM departure from Des Moines Airport Hotel Pick Up | Hampton Inn & Suites Des Moines Airport on Hackley Avenue  

Getting back from Guttenberg via Legacy Adventure Charter’s buses 

The buses will make stops at the same two locations upon completion of the ride on Saturday, July 26  

Bus 1 departs Guttenberg when full (likely around 2pm), arriving in Grinnell at the LAC HQ at around 5pm and then at the DSM Airport Hotels at around 6:30pm.  

Bus 2 departs Guttenberg at 3pm, arriving in Grinnell at the LAC HQ at 6pm and then at the DSM Airport Hotels at 7:30pm.

BIKE RENTALS (available for any registered rider to rent)  

We are happy to accept shipment of bicycles and have an experienced mechanic who handles inspection, reassembly prior to the ride as well as packing and shipment after the ride.   

We ask that all bikes arrive at the address below no later than Wed., July 16th to ensure adequate time for unpackaging. Your bicycle is safe with us and will be stored in our secure warehouse until it is packed for the trip to Orange City.  

You will need to pay for all shipping costs and please make sure the return label is included in the box with your bicycle. We’ve had many customers who have had good experiences with BikeFlights.com for shipping/handling.

You may handle your own transportation to Orange City or back home from Guttenberg but please note that we do not handle logistics of shuttling personal vehicles. Our flat per registrant fee is all-inclusive, regardless of if you plan to use our charter bus transport to Orange City or back home from Guttenberg.
